For future reference, it's faster if you submit it yourself, as it gets them in the system queue for review. Then wait. They have hundreds of variants to add all the time, so it takes time. The usual instructions: Get a good square-on scan, .jpg format preferred, cropped to the edges of the comic. If you can't, then find them on the net, with no watermarks, no signatures, no pro-graded ones, and try to make sure they're a published version, not a pre-production pic (like a Previews solicitation often is), as those get changed in production all the time. Best to resize them if you can to about 350-400px wide, but CPG can do that too. Use the "Report Missing Variant" function found in the listings for individual books. You must be logged in to do this. - Navigate to the specific book that is missing a variant. https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/spider-gwen-gwenverse/2/phwtkvy in this case.
- Select the 'Variants' tab found next to 'Values'.
- You should see a red box titled "Report Missing Variants" on the right side below any listed variants. Clicking the box will bring up a page where you can enter information specific to the variant you are reporting (not all is required). This includes what it's called, price, artist, publication date, etc. This makes it much faster for the admins to process the request.
there's 2 Nakayama variants too. always more helpful to attach pics or links to them. found pics, so attached them for whoever to use. The Virgin one is limited to 1000. edited by collectibleshop on 6/30/2022

guess the trade dress one I found was pre-production then. many of the ones on e*** still have that old pic too. wish sellers would update once the comics come out. Marvel apparently changed a couple things from the solicitation pics--title went from being black to white, and they added Spider-Gwen to it. And to make it more confusing, they make the Gwenverse part look like 2 words, with that spider between them. way to go, design dept.

When I look at Trade Dress, I always hunt for a cover with a barcode. While there isn't always one, I have found ones that have a barcode are usually production scans. I agree ebay can be tough for new releases. You usually have to wait a couple days to see enough submissions to be confident the scan is production. Some sellers are pretty tricky in trying to make their scan look authentic. One of my favs was one seller who would put a dull light filter on that would lighten the blacks enough to set it apart from all the other pre-production pictures and add texture to make it look like a real issue scan. It is amazing the traffic that generates because everyone wants to bid/buy exactly what is on the listing. -David

well, I had looked at number of sites, and found both of what I attached on several sites, so picked one to use. had checked e*** too briefly (comics.org doesn't have it listed either) and what I saw all had the 'virgin' trade with the black text and no barcode (I can't keep track of new books that do or don't have barcodes on the front these days), so figured that's how they did that one. but it's not 'new' now, but I guess all those 'pre-order' listings on e*** are too busy to take a new pic or scan with the actual releases, or even remove the 'pre-order' text on their listings, so by now it just confuses people about how many variants there are. and Marvel's site is already showing #4 and 5 with the 'old' black text and no 'Spider-Gwen' on them, so still misleading. so which cover style will those actually be? who knows.
