@Xvipah73 - yeah, after I posted I reread what I wrote and realized illegal was not the right word. Thanks for clarifying

To revise that a little bit.

As far as I know it's not "illegal" to ship books with ads through Media Mail (in other words no one is getting fined or going to jail), but it is against Post Office policy. With Media Mail they have the right to open your packages and make sure they meet those standards. It happens very, very rarely, but it does happen.

If they open your Media Mail and decide that what you have sent doesn't qualify, they will bill you (or whatever provider you used) for the difference between what you paid for Media and, I believe, Priority Mail.

Just remember though, most comic books can't legally be shipped Media Mail. The exception is if they don't have any advertising for anything other than other comic books. Most TPB are okay since they typically don't contain ads.
I'm not sure how often the USPS inspects or enforces the rule, but it does exist.

Because sellers use different vendors and methods they can choose the shipping. For example, if you decided to use Media mail, (some don't) your shipping might be $5 for the continental US. If you were using the USPS click and ship, media mail isn't an option. Shipping is one of the important things that you need to specify.
Welcome back,
Ron
