Just curious to see who everyone uses for their comic pre-orders. I have used a few different companies in the past. I was using one company regularly but here lately my comics have had some damage and the bags and boards sometimes look used. So I'm starting to look around for who is good with things like shipping costs, ease of use of the website when ordering, how they are shipped and so on. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have used DCBS for 5 years and for the most part, been very satisfied with them. Www.dcbservice.com. Shipping is a flat $7.50 regardless of weight/qty.

I've used DCBS and they safely pack everything. They are the best in my opinion.

I have always used my lcs' for all subscription needs. I tried one of the online services in Canada, while everything shipped and was packed well it wasn't cheaper than my LCS and reordering or adding later to an order was dubious or non-existent. I understand shipping and such are cheaper down there but unless you don't have an LCS I wouldn't use an online service. That's just my opinion biased by years and years of living in a store rich area with excellent service, discounts, and the opportunity to make connections with the industry that usually have great experience, advice, and stories.

I'll check out DCBS thanks for the info BC and Ron. Ox I have an LCS here but the only one close to me got me a little upset by pulling books on release day and saying they sold out of them and then magically they had them a few days later for sell on their back wall for a higher dollar amount. They did this with all of the Stray Dog reprints as they came in. So I figured I'd take my business elsewhere.

Yeah, wouldn't support that store. Thankfully, most of the stores here don't play those games. I see worse behaviour from collectors than from the stores. I could tell you some crazy tales, lol.It always makes me sad to hear some of the crap people go through outside my area. I don't support crappy customers or store owners. Frankly, it mystifies me.
