I know this comic has been hot for a while, but prices are absolutely skyrocketing, I feel there needs to be an update in the guide.

Based on recent EBay sales (sorry Taskmaster), a raw 9.4 would sell for $500+ but it is the mid and lower grades that are way off.

There should also be a value distinction between newsstand and direct but right now they are valued the same in the guide.

I've heard rumors that eBay is not a price guide.

If the price a book sells for on ebay stays consistent over a period of time, then that is the value. Value is only what people actually spend on a collectible, and ebay sales are documented for everybody to see.

And the sheep have declared that ASM 300 is worth more than CPG has it listed. Let this blow all your minds. A coverless copy sold for... wait for it...

If I sold comics online, I'd already have parted with his comic.

It means absolutely nothing to me!
I'm not a fan of McFarlane's art.

I think the cover is boring and terrible.
I'm not a fan of Venom.

I made no effort to get the book.
I got mine cheap in a bulk purchase when a comic book store was going out of business.

$105 for a coverless ASM 300? Wow. That really is shocking.

Defiant, do you have a copy you're willing to part with?

Seeing as how it means absolutely nothing to him, he is not a fan of McFarlane's art,
the cover is boring and terrible, he is not a fan of Venom, he made no effort to get the book,
and got it in a bulk purchase, he will probably pay you to take it off his hands. lol

I'm definitely willing to part with my copy, but I do not sell online.

I didn't amass thousands of comics by giving them away or losing money on my purchases.

I don't always ask top dollar for what I own, but I do capitalize on others' willingness to pay more than I would.

Wait. Are there comics that Defiant1 actually likes? I'm not sure I have read any forum post that suggested such a thing.

I like more significant comics in my collection... like Amazing Fantasy #15.

The message board kicked into an error state when I gave my actual reply to that.
Had the board accepted my chosen reply, I would be banned and you would be free of my opinions.
Unfortunately, the software for the site still wants me around.
