Glad someone posted on this. I thought it was a result of me switching to Chrome Beta. I do also generally have success if I click on the image a couple of times. It definitely slows down some of the verifications. I would guess the site is getting hit with a scraper or something this is keeping I/O busy, though haven't seen images impacted like this. Seems to be a common thing on the weekends when there are fewer admins to beat them back.

Guess I will have to do some of things I;ve been avoiding now. ;-)

this should go on the Issues forum to get noticed quicker. same thing happening to me too, makes verifying info tedious, but if you try a couple times the pic usually comes up, but not always.

update 8-10--another workaround on the Verify list that works most times, is to right click on the thumbnail and open it in a new window. may also work on the regular listings, but didn't have a reason to try one at the moment.
edited by collectibleshop on 8/10/2020

Whats up with all the broken cover links now in the database? Its a pain trying to update my files since I normally use those cover scans to confirm I have the right one, especially with variants.
