Hello,
This is my first post here. Can someone explain how CPG derives the prices for their graded comic listings?

Hey JC, I can answer this question.
We look at closed auctions, items sold on our site, Heritage, Comic Link, etc. Graded books specifically are a weird thing because a raw book and a graded book can be the same price. At the 9.8 and 9.6 level graded are always worth more in the free market. I've often seen graded 7.0 go for the same or less than a raw book. It doesn't always make sense but we just report the market we don't manipulate it (Some 90's era price guides were known for manipulating the market)
