Does anyone know if it was rare for the hologram to be off-center on the Adventures of Superman 500 Collector's Edition? Do you know if that detracts from or adds to the value?

I would not think it would make it more valuable for a printer error like you described. Some might buy things like this but most no.

don't think it's rare at all. I didn't buy any at the time (over-hyped, over-printed), but saw unbagged ones at shows and recall off-center holos, which is a fairly common printing defect on the kind that's glued on the cover by machine. saw a couple CGC ones on google searches that appeared to be a little to the left and little to the right of center. didn't go in closer to see the grades. but since there's tons of centered copies, off-center would tend to fetch less $.
