Has anybody had any dealings with Celebrity Authentics auctions before? I've been banned from their site.
Won a Thor Bust and received it a couple of days ago broken. The box looked like it had been opened before. The seal sticker had another sticker underneath that had been pealed off previously. The hammer was broken, and under closer inspection on a different part of the hammer it has been glued back together. I started a paypal claim and got in touch with them through Paypal. (As paypal tell you to do) CA then got in touch saying they will send me a new bust out but I have to stop the Paypal claim. I was going to but Paypal said not to stop the claim until I had gotten a refund or received the new bust. I told this to CA and they said they are going to deactivate my account after they have refunded me. Which is the case now. Just tried signing in and I can't.
Bit harsh when I haven't done anything wrong. Ah well, c'est la vie

Ace Ventura? I've had a few things from CA. Way back when they were on Ebay.

It's just a shame that they would treat a potential repeat customer that way. Instead of making it right they are just making it far worse.

Yep. I got in touch with them to ask if they would re-instate my account. They told me no because I wouldn't end the PayPal claim. If I ended the PayPal claim then you can't ever re-open the claim. So if there is another problem with the other bust they send out then I'm stuffed. I would of ended the claim after I received the other one in good order. The main reason for my ban they said is because if I can't trust them to sort this out and there is another problem down the line then I might cause issues with that too. How can I trust them if they send out a damaged bust that had been glued back together and the seal on the box had had a previous seal underneath the new seal?
If something has been glued back together before it was sent to me is a bit dodgy. Somebody knew it was damaged. Either a customer sent it back that way to CA, and CA didn't check it properly and sent it onto me. Or someone at CA glued it back together and sent it to me. Either way CA are trying to fob me off with a pre-owned piece as somebody at CA must have put the CA seal over the old CA seal. So how can I trust them to sort the problem out for me? PayPal claim was my best option
Ah well life goes on. Got more than enough things from CA and don't really need any more. At least I got my Trans Am sig from Burt Reynolds from them in good order. Poor Burt. Was after a Sigourney Weaver Ghost Busters car sig but pretty sure that will pop up on Ebsy one day.
