I just picked up that Byrne GN as well! Haven't read it yet, just on my list of things to buy in Silver Surfer collection.

Congrats on the Marvel Comics Presents #1. Nice you got one finally, nice grade. I enjoyed that series a lot. Do you have the Weapon X story in the series? Pretty cool story for a Woverine fan. Think it starts on issue 72. BWS has some wicked covers for it.

Just read it, It was very good. Lots of Kirby characters & the surfer. I don't get to see Galactus in this way all that often, So it was refreshing...even though it's 21 years old Lol.
Could easily have been two parter (easily).

Is that Marvel Comics Presents hard to find in high grade? I have a beautiful copy, but thought there'd be way more out there.

When I bought most of my Marvel Comics Presents books they were in the dollar boxes or less but that was 15 20 years ago. Maybe most ended up in the dollar boxes and got handed over the years. Maybe where Gil lives down under there aren't many copies to be found.

Just the one book, Nice copy of a HTF book now.

Akira #1, VF. 1988. A little scratched & dirty but still in good nic.
Full colour of the huge series. Goes well with my Dark Horse copies i got in the 90's.

Hey Gil, I was wondering what got you started searching and buying second and later printings of books? Are they easier to buy those types of books where you live, or because of where you live, they are sold more often by stores? Also how many of these books do you own now and what are a few of the expensive books you purchased or what books were hard to find that you are really happy owning after finding the book? Any new ones you are targeting now for purchase?

G'day HR, I have not been on here lately because the site is just too slow for my ageing computer (i don't know why).
Place new books into the database is a pain now & even writing this took 10 mins.

But i simply have no back issues to post...At all Lol. Akira was the last one i bought.

Hello all, Be awhile since i've been here Whaaaaa? .
Finally picked up a few new back issues, Enjoy!

X-Factor #60, VF+. November 1990. I have had the golden 2nd print of this book for years, I now have both. They go well together.

Stryfes Strike File, VF. January 1993. Sweet 2nd print. Newsstand copy as well.

Spider-Man #59, VF. June 1995. A nice Newsstand copy of a great cover.

Ultimate Fallout #4, F+. October 2011. Picked up a nice 2nd print.

Superman #123, VF+. May 1997. I finally found a newsstand copy of the original Glow-in-the Dark cover. Now onto the elusive 2nd print to make up the trio.
