Hello,

I'm having the same issues as the above poster. Just wondering if the issue was identified and if a solution was found.

UPDATE: I forked over the fee for gold and the same images uploaded no problem.

if you're trying to upload your own pic to your own boxes, that's only for paying members, not for bronze. so that's the reason it works now.

Hi, I am new to CPG and was trying to upload a scan of a comic book but it keeps saying it failed to upload. I read all the instructions about it here but it won't take the scanned image, a jpg that has been cropped to remove background and is only between 250k to 500kb in size depending on the scan attempted. I hope this is just a glitch in the system. I am just on the bronze plan but I understand anyone can upload an image? Thank you for any help.
Update: the scanned image uploaded fine to this forum however. I was trying to upload it to a box in my collection before which still doesn't work as of today.

guess no one answered this unless by private message. only paying members can upload their own pics to their boxes.

I just uploaded a few covers at the 300 DPI & 350 x 535 pixel size like recommended. I noticed that when you click the thumbnail of my approved covers they are smaller than others when you click on them. Is there a new standard for pixel size to upload to? I just want to make sure I was doing correctly when scanning covers for the site.

that pixel size is out of date now, CPG has been inputting larger scans for a while. The newest ones seem to be 650x1000px, which seems larger than necessary to me, but my browser scales them down, or goes full size if clicked on again. I've been subbing 400x700, but looks like I should increase that. so ok for you to go higher, and they should update the very old guidelines 1st post.

We have been replacing any scan that is smaller than 700px. The admins are uploading scans that are 700px up to 1000px on the largest side. We have hundreds of thousands of new scans on the site from the Golden Age to the Modern. We are adding bigger scans for image recognition software.

Hello,

I'm in the process of adding all of my Commando comics into the CPG database. Most of them don't have covers yet so I'm scanning and adding the cover art as I go along. One of the entries already has a cover scan but it's severly cropped and looks like it was taken from a dingy photograph. Could you please delete the current image and I will replace it with a clean scan. The issue in question is Commando #1184 - https://comicspriceguide.com/titles/commando/1184/smrsjp

Thanks!
