Here's my latest win. It just arrived today and it looks even better in person.
It's the cover to New X-Men: Academy X #10 by Michael Ryan.

Don't know if I've seen Ryan's art before, but it's very nice. Good pickup!

That's a very sweet cover. I like it. Michael Ryan has come so far since his days on New X-Men (the Grant Morrison run of X-Men and not the current series). I hated his art then, but I enjoy it now that his style has gotten a lot better. Mike B. |

Nice cover. I've never read New X-men, but even so the cover is pretty good. Who is that guy in the foreground?

| The guy in the foreground is Prodigy who is now a depowered mutant as a result of House of M. I'm not that familiar with the series either. I actually had to do some research to find out who it was...kinda looked like Colossus to me. I bought it thinking it was a really nice cover. |

Not a fan of the book, but very good pick up.

*sigh* here we go...with shipping and customs (damn UPS charged me $17.00 brokerage fee) it came to just under $350 US. I had some money in my Paypal account from selling some dvds and comics so I figured 'why not?'. |

| Not bad at all for a cover, I think. I spend $350 on a lot of art (that is the generic figure a lot of alternative comic artists have for their work; $200-350 a page). |

Fookin' UPS. I won a statue back in August, and the seller insisted on using UPS. I begged him NOT to, but, ahh well.
I won the statue for a song, but between the shipping fees, and the UPS brokerage fees, I ended up paying more than what the statue was worth.

Nice pick up. That price doesn't seem too bad to me.
