I have a Q: about Scarlet Witch and it is this.

If Wanda cause the House of M and and as a outcome of it there is now just 195 mutants that have there power, then wouldnt this make Scarlet Witch the most powerful mutant in the Marvel Univers?

I suppose that it does, but what does one gage power with? Hear me out... Scarlet Witch showed an intense amount of power by restructuring the entire world. No one else in the Marvel mutant community could have done that. That being saide, I feel she is far from the most powerful mutant though. Wanda's powers are at most times uncontrolled, or more accuratly unstable. She always had a good idea as to the end result of using her powers would be, but there were still times when she would manipulate something in an unexpected manner. The power level that Wanda had shown before and during HoM was quite astonishing, but it was an unharnessed spike in her abilities. It's not something that she could have done in a sane mindframe or in a controlable fashion. I would agree that she showed the single most powerful moment in mutant history, but I see control as a key ingredient that Wanda lacks to completely grasp the title of the world's most powerful mutant. In my opinion, Xavier still has that title under lock and key. He's the world's most dominant telepath and an inspiration to many mutants and non alike. The control he exudes is amasing and if it weren't for his moral/ethical codes, he'd pretty much do whatever he wants...

Acutally several mutants have world altering abilities - Proteus, Jamie Braddock, Legion. But they only used their powers on the small scale, normally because all the X-Teams were fighting them. Scarlet Witch managed to do so much damage because she didn't really have anyone fighting her, most of the worlds heroes wanted to help her - and as Acolyte said, she has probably burnt her powers out.

As for most powerful mutant, several of them come to mind:

X-Man (Nate Grey) seemed to outpower Professor Xavier, but is dead (died saving Earth). Cable is the same (when he's not effected by the TO Virus) - he managed to hold off Six Pack, X-Men and Silver Surfer whilst holding up a whole island with his Telekinesis. He even smashed and re-assembled Silver Surfer's board.

Legion could manipulate time and reality, was a telekinetic, pyrokinetic and had some telepathic abilities, but he disappeared when the AoA/616 timelines were put right.

Apocalypse (if he is the 1st mutant) has survived for thousands of years, battled the High Evoluntary, Loki, Dracula and various X-Teams. He has complete control of his body on the molecular level.

Franklin Richards, without the mental restraints. Whilst still a child could create an astral form of himself and create a whole new planet (with living people on it) and teleport the FF/Avengers to it!

Wait, do we actually know whether or not Wanda lost her own powers? I thought the final HoM left it pretty vague.

All it showed was Wanda at a market in Wondergore (I think) It was only a couple of frames and its left it wide open for debate on whether she has her powers or not.

In the land of the blind. The one eyed man is king.
