I have been waiting for an eBay purchase for about 12 days at this point. Not a real long time but considering the seller said on the auction that he ships every Friday or Saturday I should have the comic by now. I waited the full ten days before even bothering to email and today I get this response:

quote:

Hi Jon,
Your book shipped out today (Saturday, 3/29). Sorry for the late shipment, but I have been out of state due to family emergency for the past 16 days. Yesterday my sister arrived to replace me so I could come back home. Today I have been contacting many buyers and offering free shipping to compensate for late arrival. If you like, I will reimburse your PayPal account the shipping fees, plus a little extra to cover the PayPal fees. Thank your for your understanding and patience.

Bill

I'm wondering if I should take the discount now or tell him to apply it towards a future purchase. I actually have my eye on two of his comics that end tomorrow. The comic in question I grabbed for about 40 - 60% of guide even with the shipping so I am happy with the price.

Normally I would have just let this thread die as I didn't win another one of his auctions but this guy really went above and beyond the call of duty. Funny thing is, I was never mad or mentioned any kind of discount. I was just asking if he had shipped it yet.

I replied back that if I won one of his auctions I would take the free shipping.

Hey, that's cool. You win, you get free shipping. If you don't win, I'll reimburse your PayPal account the shipping cost on your first win, plus some extra to cover PayPal fees. btw,... your book did ship yesterday. WHEW!
Thanks,
Bill

Cool, my book is shipped but I didn't win so I send him a message to credit my Paypal account.

Well I tried to win on two of the auctions but it didn't work out. Feel free to send that credit to my paypal account. That was very nice of you to offer that. It is much appreciated. I'll make sure I watch for your auctions and add you to my favorite sellers list. I will of course leave you very positive feedback once I recieve the first book.

Thanks again,
Jon

A couple more polite exchanges and this morning I wake up to a $8.00 refund in my Paypal account. w00t It cost him $6.55 to ship it to.

I recieve the book today and it is in stellar condition. He graded it at an 8.5 and he is pretty damn close.

I figured he deserves at least a mention here so here is a link to that auction.

Don't see this everyday.

I need to go leave this guy some serious positive feedback.

It's very rare to run into seller's who really want the customer's to be 100% satisfied, I've dealt with a few and in turn I've thrown them all the business I can.

Sounds like an honest and sincere person to deal with. I've marked him myself. Thanks.

How come I pictured a dog marking his territory?
