Hi, these forums have always been very helpful for me. I was planning on getting some subscriptions from my local comic book shop. I was going to pick up titles from the X-Men/X-Titles family. Here's what I was thinking:
Astonishing X-Men: I'm not sure but I think this is there 3rd title for the X-Men
X-Men Legacy: I think this is there secondary title. Possible interchangeable with first because it's just the old X-Men title from the 90's early 00's.
The Uncanny X-Men: The top title. My favorite.
Also I was thinking of adding:
X-Force: They're run by Wolverine now right?
Genext: I don't think this is still a comic. Is there an alternative?
The Uncanny X-Men: First Class: This is my favorite title currently. Classic feeling.
Is there just a title named X-Men? Is it good or does it fit in tightly?
Is there a New X-Men still?
I don't think I am interested in Cable, X-Factor, or Deadpool.
Is there any comic I'm missing that might help pull the stories together? Any thoughts, comments, opinions?
Anything you would trim or add? Money can be a factor. I wouldn't need a title that isn't always integral to the X-Men and Utopia/X-Nation.
Thanks.

I'm a big X-fan myself.
I would recommend this list:
Uncanny X-men
X-men Legacy
Astonishing X-men (this one is the same characters but not synced up story wise)
X-force (Cyclops is in charge, Wolverine is more of a field commander)
X-factor ( extremely well written, the first X-book I read each month)
New Mutants
and if you like Wolverine he is currently the lead in 2 titles
Wolverine Origins
Wolverine Weapon X
His son is currently the lead in the Dark Wolverine (formerly Wolverine) title.
As for Cable, it has been a great read, but sadly its primary purpose was to Bridge Messiah Complex to Second Coming, which it has done, so it is canceled with issue #25.

| I like that. I like the recommendation for X-Factor. Do you like the Nation X Mini-Series?

I always avoid the mini-series because they tend to be over priced. Plus I know I can pick them up for way less than cover at comic shows six months from now.

In my opinion The must X-men reads at the moment are X-facter, X-force and Cable. as Already said Cable is up in a couple of issues but if you can get the back issues then do so. I would also pick up Uncanny X-men and Legacy. I used to pick up astonishing but I was never a real fan but that may just be me and I have never read the current New mutants.
