WHIZ COMICS 1940 1st CAPTAIN MARVEL SPY SMASHER

I'm currently the high bidder on this gem, and I really can't afford more than $11.50.
Actually, I already own a copy of this particular comic, but it's always irritated me that they went ahead and wrote "GANGWAY FOR CAPTAIN MARVEL!" right between his legs. I've been searching for years for this variant without the writing.

There's still 2 days left on this, I doubt that the $11.50 is gonna hold.

“I don’t do this for the Commander in Chief.  I do this for my country, and I will continue to do so.”

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.

If you've been searching for it for years and all...Why not put more on the auction? If it is an important auction to you and all

or how about:  "why publicize the auction you want to win on a comic message board?"

now you are just inviting a flipper to snag it from you with a snipe bid and sell it to you fro twice the price... lol

Exactly which reprint is this?  I know the FFE didn't have the 'Gangway for Captain Marvel' thing between his legs........

This is a treasury sized book. It is not a variant but a reprint from the 70's.

Also proper etiquette on this board is we do not snipe other people's listed auctions that they are bidding on, unless they say have at it.

I have yet begun to surrender.

I'm sure all the reputable members of the board will leave this auction alone but there are tons of unknown guests that are reading this too. Good luck!

Dropping your pants will not get you comics.
