I would like input as far as grading these books. Recently recovered my collection and I am looking to move them but I want to accurately describe their condition.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Michael

They are in horrible condition. You should just mail them to ME.

I thought there was no selling through this forum?

I have read the description of the different grades, but have you seen a set of scans of the grades?

My desire is to move them, but this requires a very accurate description of condition.

I could do better with larger scans... but:
Very slight abrasion.
No miswrap.
Corners just noticeably deformed/blunted.
Cover white areas not white, but cream to off-white.
Edges has slight wear.
Has soiling.
Several small spine creases.
Staple placement is off.
I assume no tears, writing, stamps, etc.
I can not tell inside page color.
I can not tell glossiness.

I would say a 7.0 (Fine/Very Fine). The CPG puts that at about $42.
Some people would have the back bring it down more... maybe a 6.5

Here's a link that might help you out:

It should help you out with the examples of certain defects etc.
