You got a pretty good deal on that Mutt and Jeff comic. How are those older comics as far as the story goes, are they actually any funny?

I prefer them for the artistic style of the day rather than the story but some of them are ok. Some miss elements of modern sensibility.

Won today. Put in a low bid on this one and won. Thought the cover looked fun and was worth a $2 punt.

Next up is my low grade X-Men No.1. I got this from a UK mail order company called Cosmic Comics. I was still living with my parents at the time and saving for a deposit on my first house so it was all I could afford at the time and I have never bothered to upgrade. I think I must have got this in around 1990 give or take a year.

Long time forum members will know I like my variants. Here is an X-Men No. 3 I have that was one of the Marvel's printed for distribution to the UK. Sadly these tend to sell for half or less what the 12 cents edition fetches. I purchased this from a comic fair in Sheffield, Yorkshire in the mid 90's.
