| Why are these issues so expensive and others around it are not?? No wonder why my local comic shop always has a hole where these issues are....I just finally started looking a little more extensively for them...and the price blew my mind. I figured they were like 3 or 4 dollar issues. Thanks guys!!!

Silver Surfer & Carnage, from the time when Marvel was not overprinting comics.
Completed ebay sales show they don't sell for what dealers are asking. I think the dealer know they can't replace that back stock very easily...

| Thanks Robbie. I'm watching a few auctions on ebay...but will probably just watch for a little while and see how things play out for a month or 2....then start thinking about making a bid on something. I just don't get it. Carnage is nothing new......he has been in lots of spidey comics.......and silver surfer.....well......again...nothing too new...... For that price, I would expect something major to happen....or at least Obama to be on the cover hahaha

good luck colorpit, let us know how it turns out.
I don't recall reading that issue, was part of a big buy and I couldn't be bothered to find out why Carnage and Surfer would be in the same story.
(Vol 2 #19 is the one I had trouble with, finally wound up getting one from a guy in the UK. With shipping it was still cheaper than any US options...)

Hmmmm I just looked in the guide here and it doesn't reflect. I don't usually look up moderns on here....and most know I primarily collect Golden and Silver age. But I am still working on ASM. I just picked up number 45 today and will post it when it arrives. Thanks for the help again Robbie. I'll post when I finally get those 2 issues I need and how much it cost me.

Completed ebay listings show 2 copies of V2#19
one was $28 with shipping - BIN
the other was $30, but included issues 10-19. - 15 bids
meanwhile, there were 19 copies of v1 #19 - the highest was $735.00 - raw.
Based on random spot checking over the years, lots of issues from the post-glut era are not on ebay - dealers can't fill their holes for under $5 a comic and collectors want to pay $3 ea or less... when there's a little spike in interest, then a bulk comic (10 cents each for 10+ longboxes) jumps to $10-$20+ - lots of people with one in their collection learn that they don't love it $20 worth and list it on ebay... but the ones who have bulk comics listed for $3-$5 need to refill their backstock....
or something like that... anyhow, I seem to have a hard time finding specific issues from the 2000s when I look for one.

Finially picked up issues 430-431. Cost me 31 dollars after shipping. YIKES!!!! Just a couple more to get from this time period and I'll have everything all the back somewhere in the 200's.

Both these issues have been selling together at about 20 to 25.00s. They should be adjusted, but seeing as they're modern books that won't happen.
I'm coming for you Fantastic Four #48!!!
