Well, this won't dispell that theory...

Look to the right of Mile High Chuck in the background.

I can make out the fanzine stash with the Squa Tront, but the rest is a blur to my bad eyes....but I'm guessing a box of UG????

It's Fogel's Underground price guide (and probably Ug's in that box behind it).

I get Chuck's newsletter and he has talked several times about his ug collection over the years. I seem to remember him saying his personal collection consists only of undergrounds.

Earl.

You must have excellent eyesight, because no matter how hard I press my face to the screen, I ain't seeing it...but I'll take your word for it. I've never seen his newsletter but like Earl, I was always under the impression he had a major UG stash, just from interviews I'd read with him.

It's the Terry Weigel (sp) cover one.

Try the full size pic. here.

I think we were all looking on Chuck's right, not on the right side of Chuck in the pic. Mile High ordered a case of the guides, so it's no surprise Chuck has one.

....and Chuck is probably hoarding good stuff! Heck I have more than 1/2 the print run of over a dozen UG's from the 1970's, just cheesier ones!
That's the reason some of these older books are "rare".........

While I am not a deep friend of Chuck, we are on friendly terms and have talked to each other at cons across the country for over 30 years. He has a stash of ugs. I think a lot. I would have to see them, but from our shooting the breeze, he has mucho ugs. He puts them away and doesn't sell them when he gets them. What can I say, like all of us, ugs are something he likes.

I want your undergrounds
