I bid on both of these but forgot to check them again before they ended. DEFINITELY my loss.

It is frustrating when that happens. That happened to me on an auction today actually. But the good thing is that with most books there are plenty more to go around. There is no shortage of those books, so you'll win a similar auction sometime down the line.

Thats bad luck. It has happened to me heaps of times.

Have often thought about using a "sniper", but never gotten around to doing so.

i use hammersnipe its pretty awesome you can use it for free. and dont need to have your computer on or anything. its pretty good because you dont drive the price of the auction up over what you want to pay by having a bidding war with someone you just wait till the last 3 seconds and they get sniped.

lol..I did the opposite..I submitted a highest offer to a seller and he refused and wanted a lot more...so I moved on and kept looking found the book I wanted...well I found and and bought it then the first seller I made the offer to decided to accept it...and since ebay requires me to make good on my first offer I now have 2 of the same book coming

Congrats on those books by the way, BMX. Still looking for the #1 & #4 in 9.8.
