Hey guys,

I'm a little late to the game on this thread, but thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

Haunt #1

Thought this first issue did a good job introducing some characters, and setting things up, but found the story telling to be extremely choppy.  At some points it seemed like an entire page was missing.  Not sure if something's being lost in translation between Capullo's layouts & Ottley's pencils, or if it's just been written like that.  There was definitely enough potential there for me to pick up #2.

Haunt #2

IMO quite an improvement over #1 in terms of panelling & overall flow.  Where #1 seemed to be missing pages, #2 was only seemed to skip a panel or two.  The art looks great, I think McFarlane's inks add a nice gritty dimension to Ottley's normally cartoony style.  Story-wise, this issue really cranked it up a notch by introducing some nice secondary characters (loved the cleaner), and starting to flesh out the turbulent relationship between the two brothers.  I'll be picking up #3.

I agree murch!

I just got Haunt #2 and I read it directly!! It's soo much better than #1, it's not even funny! It had much more meat to it...some substance that you could really sink your teeth in to. Besides that, we were introduced to a villain that shows much promise, Cobra. I love banter, and the banter between the two brothers is funny at times, especially when other people think that Haunt is actually talking to them. There's one frame where Daniel (the priest) is telling his brother, Kurt (the dead secret agent) that he's not fighting him - while he's fighting the villain Cobra. He says, while talking to his brother Kurt, "I'm not fighting you!" and Cobra says, "Yes, you are!" LOL!!

Funny.

I did see some proof of the Spider-Spawn accusations...I did see some similarities in this issue. However, the story is too good and has too much potential for me not to be along for #3. I'm so in.

One question though, how is Kurt back from the dead, who allowed it or who sent him back from the afterlife? Okay, that's more than one question, but inquiring minds want to know.

Just read #3,

It's better than #2! Lots of action, great art and an interesting story. When I get to the end, I want more. The crazy spiritualist in the cell was a bit too convenient, but hell, I'll play!

Love triangle on the way. Looks like Haunt will be a secret agent (goody!). This is a fun comic to read!
