| I am not an administrator, but I will address your first post. The comic values are always being reviewed. The guide here is not a stock ticker, so it will not reflect the daily, weekly, monthly ups and downs. If you look at the realized prices being paid for books around the internet, you will find the guide prices here much more in-line with them than the print guides out there. I doubt that a separate listing will be made for each issue estimating a CGC SS value. The SS' are much more volatile than regular slabs. And as far as your second post, I do not speak for the people in charge of the guide, but I don't know if frowning emoticons and all caps is necessary after just 4 days.

| It was a mad face because I had some independent books that was not in OPG I wanted to sell. This site had them priced but lost out on the sale because the person said that it was too much to charge for each book at that price. I took the books off and later re-listed them at a lower price to just find my same books I don't own any more get flipped a month latter for alot more then the same generic price that was given for each book on this site. I see that they do this same base price for alot of the books on this site (no price drops and only key DC or Marvel like AF 15 or Det. 27 you see a price go up) and just wanted the prices to be up dated to meet the demand a little and I not have to question if I am asking too much or too little . I just wanted if an comic that is CGC and it is rare in high grade at 9.2 that is shown some how or that at auction this a close price they have been selling for. I didn't mean to offened you or anyone. I just wanted the people in charge to fix some of the listings.

No need to worry about anyone taking offense, I certainly didn't. If there are some specific books you've noticed a large variance in the value vs actual sales, please post them in the Market Watch area. http://www.comicspriceguide.com/boards/Forum23-1.aspx I am not one that generally does value research, but that would be where to post your data. I do understand your frustration with the limited listings of OPG and the other print guides. There is no other catalog as large as this one in the world (as far as I know..... ). My work is generally involved in expanding the breadth of the listings, not the values. But I understand that with over half a million issues in here, it takes a lot of work to check on each and every one of them. Some books get CGC sales data listed in their tag lines, but there is not currently any direct links of CGC sales data to the prices in the guide. When it is shown for an issue, someone has put that in there manually.

| Regardless of what any priceguide lists...buyers on the open market are always going to tell you that you're prioced too high... You need to decide what you want for the book and then put it out there...if someone else wants it they'll pay what you ask... You can do research on almost any and every book ever listed and find auctions where it went for more or for less than guide...

Well, most of myt books are hard to find underground/indepent books, so auctions are hard to find on them. The sales prices would be so out of date and off that I would be puting the wrong price out there. I would just be wasting my time and money on these comic selling sites. Ebay always makes out with my sales because I have to relist my books.

It seems to me...that if you put books out there on Ebay...where thousands of people looking to buy can see them...and you still end up relisting them...then either you have some other issue besides price that is chasing off the buyers...or your price is more than what anybody is willing to pay. Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. If a guide says it's worth $20...and no one wants it at that price...then... If you want to find the true market value for something...throw it out there at a low starting price and see what happens when interested people start bidding. If you leave it out there for a reasonable length of time, everyone gets a shot. Could there be someone out there that would pay more?...Sure!...but that's the chance you take. Unless you want to spend the time and effort to set up an Ebay store...then you can price it at what you want and sit back and wait for the right buyer... I mean...bottomline...comics are worth what ever the current scrap-paper-per-ton price is...anything above that is pure gravy...
