At least tell me that the bottom of your sandals get wet when you go for a walk.

Okay...Talked to Bryan this morning on the phone...He's on his way to check the servers...

Should be back up to speed by this afternoon...

As for totals not showing up...They are still there...
Make sure you clear cache so it's not consistantly showing you the same info and grabs the latest, greatest....clear history and stored temps...and I always clear all CPG cookies as well, just to be sure my computer is pulling the most recent copies of things from the server and not stored versions from my cache...

Slowness is a different issue than "the board isn't working right". As Shadow said, they may have been doing maintenance. Slowness can be an issue with dropped/lost data packets on the internet backbone between you and them. So yes, the board was slow last night. That will happen occasionally on any site.

When I log in, the board software performs all it's tasks and functions properly. It never boots me out or makes me log in again.

It is not just last night that it has been slow. It has been slow for the last week. I guess that is just to be expected?

Shadow, I appreciate the hard work, and I hope that you get the issues sorted out.

I run IE 6.0...'cause my OS (Win2000 Pro) is too old to run 8.0...and I don't have any problems at all either...

Some people seem to have a ton of problems...others have none at all...considering how many things it takes to just receive a website feed...it's kind of hard to pin down what's causing it on just some peoples systems...

You need to dump that antique computer Shadow.

End of Line....

I used to have problems with my cookies but its been a week or more since my last problem which is a relief. As far as slow downs go,thats going to happen from time to time due to server issues and I run into that at many sites.

End of Line....

No way, Dude!...
This puppie's an 8 or 9 years old Dell Dimension 8100 w/ a 1500mgz P4 ...I still have half of my 40g hd free and it's running the free beta copy of Win2000Pro I got from MS for being a beta tester...

I might actually breakdown and order enough mem to fill the last two slots though...

If I want new and improved headaches...I get those more than enough with the Vista/IE 8 crap I run at the office...

Maybe when Win7 finally comes out...

i'm not a computer guy,  so can anyone tell me what to do with this:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

  <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
   <system.web>
       <compilation debug="true"/>
   </system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

Stack Trace:

[SqlException (0x80131904): Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.]   CPGMembers.memberInfo.ownsIssues(Int32 tid, Int32 userid) +255   p_issues.userOwnIssues() +28   p_issues.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) +197   System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller(IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) +14   System.Web.Util.CalliEventHandlerDelegateProxy.Callback(Object sender, EventArgs e) +35   System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +99   System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +50   System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +627
Thanks
B
