| Why is this the only site that I have consistent trouble with doing what, I assume, I should be able to do. You know, things like post a topic, reply to a topic, load up CPG in a second tab so I can help some poor schlub find his 1990 Spider-Man #3, add a picture/scan. I can do all these things on every other site I go to (ebay, slayalive, CGC, etc. etc.) but not here with any consistency. There's nobody on this board anymore ... and the one's that are still here are hit and miss at best. For god's sake, even bneely only pops in once in a great every-so-often while members wait for answers sometimes for months. Software problems? Unforseen technical issues? Let's face it, you got &%*$ed when you switched the boards ... so stop throwing good time and money after bad and solve these lingering issues. It's like the chinese water torture .... not to bad at first but then boom, Boom, BOom, BOOm, BOOM, BOOM!, BOOM!! I'm done.

Of course you don't want to hear this, but I've never had ANY problem at all with the new board. The old board gave me problems... but this one... NEVER.
I use Firefox with the Noscript plugin. I allow scripts when I'm here. I use Adblock and it appears to be blocking one frame. I accept cookies, but have the browser flush them when I close Firefox. I have a cookies plugin that i never use here. I have no problems whatsoever.

I feel your pain, DeadOne. I've had difficulty loading pages since this morning. Occasionally, the pages would load quickly, but the majority of the time they loaded slowly... very slowly. CPG is the only web site I have had difficulty today. Don't know if there is a problem with a server or maybe an inordinate amount of users, but it has been extremely slow. I can't speak about the old board because I never used it. But overall, I am extremely happy with CPG, except for today. Hang in there, it will get better.

I run IE 6.0...'cause my OS (Win2000 Pro) is too old to run 8.0...and I don't have any problems at all either... Some people seem to have a ton of problems...others have none at all...considering how many things it takes to just receive a website feed...it's kind of hard to pin down what's causing it on just some peoples systems...

Like I said, just venting.
ohs69grad - I'm experiencing "the slow" as well. I'm like a heroin addict waiting for a fix when it comes to this board. I love it ... to much.btw, maybe M. Night Shyamalan's new feature could be "THE SLOW" .... just some dude sitting at his laptop, banging his head against desk for 2 hours. Sounds about right to me.

I am on Firefox and using Vista Premium and the forums load SLOW (so slow that often times, they time out)...the old boards were flawless in their loading. I, too, am having trouble looking through the database at comics while on here.

Slowness is a different issue than "the board isn't working right". As Shadow said, they may have been doing maintenance. Slowness can be an issue with dropped/lost data packets on the internet backbone between you and them. So yes, the board was slow last night. That will happen occasionally on any site.
When I log in, the board software performs all it's tasks and functions properly. It never boots me out or makes me log in again.
