Nice looking Batman's NDP. I am particularly fond of the way #670 looks.

Can't wait to see what you picked up.

I like Tony Daniels art too and I'm glad to see him back on Batman again.  We'll see if his writing matches his art on the newest issues, but the first one was pretty good.

[quote] I also bought something today that I've been wanting since I started collecting comics about 26 years ago. It's the most I've ever paid for a single issue in my life (which to put things in perspective, I'm sure is much less thanmany of you, but it's a big deal for me). I won't get it until sometime next week, so I'll post about it then. I don't want to jinx it

WOW!!!

Now I'm excited too!! The most you ever paid for a single issue and you wanted it for 26 years?!!! This is gonna be good!! Is it a #1?

Is it a 1st appearance?!

Is it a death issue?!!

C'mon! C'mon! Don't do me like this!! Hints!!

Alright. I'll wait. But I won't like it.

TEX

Well, instead of receiving it by today, I find out that it has just shipped today.  A little irritating, especially because I have no patience.  Oh well, what's a few more days?

The comic I've been waiting for 26 years to get has arrived today.  It's not the highest grade, but it was pretty affordable.  It's a copy of X-men #1, CGC graded at 3.0.  Guide lists a 3.0 at $1400, I paid $800.  Pretty good deal I think.

My scanners not the greatest, so these are the best images I can make.    Now to just fill in the rest

DARN good deal; congratulations are in order. In that condition, I think I'd crack it open and keep it as a reader.

Thanks, but I think I'll use the essentials as readers.   I just can't justify paying more than this for a comic when the money could be going towards my mortgage or the kids' college funds.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it.  I generally like to stay at a 4.5-5.0 and better, but sometimes I just can't do that.  It's the eternal struggle between condition and what I can live with paying. The 4.5-5.0's seem to go between $1500-$2000 when I watch them and that's money that I could be using to fill in the rest of the series that I need.
