I have several comics that I am checking value on, but the covers do not match what are posted. For instance, I have a Marvel Collectors Item - Issue #1 Spider-Man The Legend of The Arachnknight. The cover is similar to what is shown in the price guide, but the guide states it as hard cover (mine is not) and it shows a white background while mine is black. Also where the date is, mine simply has 1 AUG, nothing else in that box. Same with my Spider-Man 2099 Double Size Edition.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Sounds like you have one of the #1's from the 1990 Todd Mcfarlane Spiderman series.  Any chance you can post a scan?  It would be much easier to tell from that.

I believe what you have is commonly referred to a Spider-Man 1 Chromium, or by the actual title Marvel Collectible Classics #2(as it is listed in the DB listed here...

The only Spider-Man 2099 double-sized issue I can find is this one.

The chromium has no date on the cover though, and he stated his had the August 1 date on it.

The one I have has the date, 1 with AUG beneath it and then in the lower left corner, it has a silver profile of Spider-mans head with Printed in Canada across it. Also the Spider-Man, The Legend of the Arachknight, the Torment Part one of Five and the marvel stuff in the upper left are all silver as well. Also, the Marvel Comics in the upper left, has a pic of spider man as well, he is hanging upside down by a web.
