Hi all,
First I want to say hello to everyone in this excellent forum and thanks for having me. My question is where is the best place to sell my comic book collection. I really don't have the time or energy to sell each on individually on E-bay or anywhere else. I would like to just sell the whole lot.
Any and all advice is appreciated!!
Cheers!!

In a down economy you may be asking a lot. For the worst possible return, check with your local comic book shop, but don't hold out much hope they are going to buy what you have in total, most these days are looking for specific items, not bulk.
List them as a lot on Craigslist or Ebay and be done with it. Again not the best return but it gets them off of your back sooner.
The truth is, if you have a bunch of commons, you will not be easily rid of them, anyway you go. Might consider donating them to a library or kid's home.
Where does he get those wonderful toys!
I have yet begun to surrender.

| E-Bay or one of the forums that allows sales.

eBay can be painful though. I just bought a huge lot of Daredevil comics that I didn't particularly need simply because 1 issue I wanted was packed in among the others. The auction was for DD #36 + 100 other mixed DD issues between 181 and 341. When the auction ended, I won on a $24 bid. Now, I realize that I came out way ahead on this one, but I doubt the seller thought he was going to be parting with a classic issue plus 100 other comics for less than the classic issue was worth, or maybe he did, I dunno, but either way selling them as a lot will bring you the least amount of money. Frankly, you'd make far more money having a yard sale and advertising that all your comics are going for $1 or something. That way you at least guarantee that when they're all gone you haven't let them go for what amounts to 25¢ or less each.
I recommend perhaps selling them in stacks depending on whether or not you have issues that complete "series" or run through specific sub-plots that collectors might be interested in.

I agree with the yard sale idea, especially for the bulk of it. I, like many others here, have sold on ebay. I would never sell anything as a lot unless you really don't care what you're getting for it. I have rarely if ever made any money selling lots. The only thing worth selling on ebay are the single issues that are relatively valuable or rare. Cherry pick the good stuff to sell on ebay, dump the rest in a yard sale. Unless you want to take the time to establish a store on ebay, but even then, don't list large lots. At most, break things up into 10 issue runs.
