DeadOne (9/25/2009)
Stratego
How about Stratego Legends?
That's ubber-cool. Stratego but with random booster packs and pieces with extra abilities (+1 attack when attack from a desert, water walk, extra damage vs zombies, etc..)

It is now on my official Christmas list. Thanks Robbie.
Glad to 'help'.
The booster packs are hard to find, the two expansion sets were pretty easy.

| I haven't played many non-traditional games, but Carcassonne was a lot of fun. Granted I played the XBLA version of it, but it is based on a table top game.

Yep,Carcassonne is fun. And there's several expansions that add new map tiles, sort of expensive - but fun. (The expansions make great stocking stuffers for someone who already has the core game.)

Twixt
Feudal
Stratego
Black Box
Twixt was easily my most favorite game of all time, but my dad was the only person who would play against me because I'd win all the time and he took that as a challenge. Strategy games that required abstract logic appealed to me the most.
Just read the Twist Wiki page. Whenever I read someone talking about Twixt, they sound like they don't get it. I used to give my dad a three or four move head start just to make it more challenging to me. Quite often I'd still win by a hair.

i sort of cheated and did the best of both worlds i play the playstation/pc versions of the board games. I hand out some serious rump on risk. but was very disappointed at the monopoly version it didn't translate well but as far as Actual board games, I LOVE balderdash and Lie,Cheat, and Steal.(which i always wonder if the game inspired the lyrics to the tool song.) but i found this game to be quite fun also( http://reviews.cnet.com/playstation-2-games/ultimate-board-game-collection/4505-9581_7-31855345.html?tag=mncol;lst ) Well, that's my 2..........Cents that is.....

When I was a kid I remember having a game I believe was called Manhunt. It came with an electric crime computer thingy. I liked that game a lot and got a lot of action out of it. Those Milton Bradley games were fun to play and collect especially when they dealt with a TV show or current movie like the James Bond game. But I also remember enjoying Parker Brothers games like Masterpiece, Risk and of course Monopoly, which I'll play anytime. I've also got a copy of Anti-Monopoly under the living room table in case any of my unconventional pals stop by for a game or two....
