| In 1950, Avon Periodicals tried to pair the appeal of science fiction pulps with the appeal of comic books... The result was "Out of this World Adventures"...half pulp stories and half 32 page comics...and it only lasted two issues, even though it included the art of master Joe Kubert... I recently acquired the pair... #1

Shadow (11/12/2009)
I love painted sci-fi from that era.
In the "future" scientists invent gravity control and use that technology mostly for making bras.
And it's very cool that you have a collection of Shadow pulps.
That bubble helmet looks just like the ones that came with some of the Archer spacemen (but didn't fit without customization.)

Sweet. Hope you added it to the guide with it being 50% comics. Earl.
