Are signed comics worth less then ones not signed?

Are signed comics worth less then ones not signed?

My understanding, rudimentary though it may be, is that signatures on comics are only considered a defect in the VF to M range (and on older comics that have real value to begin with). For example, Stand Lee's signature on a copy of, let's say, an ancient Hulk that happens to be in 9.0, will hurt the value. However, if you have signed copies of the first ten issues of WildC.A.T.s, it could only help their value.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

Well put .And with a great example.I seen stans sig on a few silver aged books and I cringed even as much as I love the ole guy .But on other things about 1990 and up SIGN away
