Well with all the hate thats been generated by "Brand New Day" ( myself included in the hating).....i broke down and picked up issues #555,#556 and#557...read my friends copy of #555 and found my self liking it.......my buddy put comic collecting on hiatus for awile....something about bills or some such nonsense...so to find out what happend next i had to buy them....sigh........granted....i still hate alot of ASM issues that ive read since this whole thing started...but this arc was really good *puts on flame retardant suit*.....it was basically a very well done story Mayan Gods and Murder....i almost forgot pete was a wifeless looser again.....and since it was weekly it meshed together really well......and the art by CHRIS BACHALO was just awesome *gets fire extinguisher ready*.........and i really liked how it was a self contained story....

I hate BND..dont get me wrong.....but this story arc was really good and and the art too.... i would suggest picking it up on ebay for cheap...hell i liked it well enuff to pick up the variant also......but only because it was really cheap.....

*EDIT*:

I dont plan on picking up #558....so will my sin be forgiven?...ive already banged my head on the wall and said 3 hail Stan Lee's....but i dont think thats going to wash the icky feeling away...

*EDIT 2*:

Also i am kind of syched up that Mark Waid will be doing some writing on this series soon....

I will continue to pick up the series and when I'm the only one who has bought the low print run copies, I'll be rich I tell you. Beyond my wildest dreams from my gem mint copies that are worth top dollor.

No flames from me, I still like the series and think the story lines and art have been pretty good.

Seriously though, I'm just obsessed with Spiderman and can't stop collecting it. I have too big of a run to give it up.

"3 hail Stan Lee's" lol, I love it. well we have a mini-con coming to St Paul in a week from today and I imagine I will pick some of these up if I can get them cheap but I just can't get myself to get them off the shelf just yet.

Weaklings!  I still havent picked it up since BND started.  I asked my LCS owner how sales were going and he said that he was used to selling 40 a month and when BND came out once a week he's now selling 36 a week.  I was the first person who told him I had stopped collecting.

“I don’t do this for the Commander in Chief.  I do this for my country, and I will continue to do so.”

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.

PPL should hate OMD, not BND. BND has pretty good stories and the most recent arc was no exception. Normally im not a fan of bachalo but he did a good job here. His first issue was his strongest and it seemed to get weaker as the arc went on but it was still good. What Im pissed about tho is that they're bringing back freak. Most retarted character ever from the worse arc to come out of BND yet. Why they are bringing him back (and so soon nonetheless!) is beyond me. Who over at marvel actually thought he was a cool character??

I agree I loathed OMD and since I had already ordered the first few issues of BND decided to give it a try and the stories are pretty good enough for me to wait it out a bit to see whats going to happen

I'm still reading, though primarily out of habit. These last two stories have been my least favorite since BND started, particularly didn't care for Bob Gale's story.
