Lookwhoitis (4/6/2009)
I for one am perturbed that the Cerebus 1A Counterfeit version was stricken from the CPG list.
That book has set a historical precedent as being one of the most important Counterfeit issues in the history of comics (along with TMNT #1 and Cry for Dawn #1).
It should be notated in the list as a variant of #1, like it was for years before some enterprising mind (who probably even does not collect Cerebus) removed it.
I certainly plan on collecting a Raw Counterfeit copy as my reader, because my #1 will be in a slab. and I would like to be able to put it in the database as a comic owned.
There needs to be a historical log when issues are added/removed (kind of like wikipedia change record) or this site's relevance to historical research and documentation will be diminished. The Counterfeit issue has not been deleted, the publisher was changed from Aardvark to Publisher Unknown. The publisher has since been changed again to counterfeit.
Earl.
