Was thinking about putting together runs of these series. The Saga of Swamp Thing/ Swamp Thing volume2 is 171 issues and Animal Man is the 1988 series that runs 89 issues. Both were early Vertigo books, thus my interest.

My question is, does anyone collect either of these series? I was curious how hard the books are to track down and are these bargain bin books or tough buys?

I only have one issue of the 2 series, Swamp Thing #37 (1st Constantine), so thought I would get some info before I started these.

I have all of Animal Man and almost all of Swamp Thing. The later issues of Swamp Thing are a little tough but not impossible.

With the recent interest and mini about Animal Man, you should be able to find issues on ebay. Most people will probably think "Hey, I can probably sell some doubles now!" Which is what mostly happens when an older character gains updated popularity.

And  Swamp Thing, well he's always been a popular character. You can always find him on ebay..The Alan Moore issues are usually the one's everyone wants, but there are some issues that had crossovers with Batman, Hawkman, and such..and Vertigo issues are a blast. If you have any problem finding anything, shoot me a pm and I'll see what i can do..
