With both a Deadpool movie and a Green Lantern movie coming out in 2011 and each character being played by Ryan Reynolds, who do you think would win?

You think so?
I'm leaning more towards Ryan Reynolds...

But to answer the actual question, vote goes to Deadpool. He might go down early in the match, but that's when the green machine turns his back (stupidly) and Deadpool wins by sucker punch (or shot).

While GL and DP are fighting...along comes a pair of tits. You see DP go to drooling dog face.

"HELLO NNUURSSSEE!!!"

And the winner is GL.

The correct answer is:

America loses.

I've been consistently giving all superhero films two thumbs down since Superman. They're always hackneyed, always over-simplified, etc, and classic plot lines? Just toss hopes of seeing those out the window right now, because it won't happen.

Rare exceptions include Watchmen, Akira, Sin City and that ilk, but I think that's because direct adaptations of specific stories always look and sound better than what usually happens - which is "our hero" is placed in a "new story" written by "some completely self-indulgent, barely functional retard like Kevin Smith" and then "CGI'd to Hell and back".
