| I have to say I know Captain America hasn't been in high demand in the past but of the last months, probably due to the "reborn" events and announcement of the movie, a big increase in the demand for any of the comics is taking place. As an example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=110410337473 This particular listing is well beyond what's listed on the site... Being a fan and collector of his comics myself, it would be nice to see some of this demand reflected in the market listings. I only wish I could afford to spend the money for something like the quality of the item linked above...

My spidey sense is telling me that book has been trimmed and pressed. Nice price for the book however, especially one so common. If the buyer knew how many pristine warehouse copies of that book there are out there I doubt he'd have paid 3g's for it.

| Actually I wouldn't say the price paid is too far beyond what the guide price puts forth. It goes for just under 1K, so since CGC'd comics at the same grade generally double (past 8.0), I'd say that another 1K isn't a huge leap. If it went for something like 4-5K, then you just doubled the guide and that would be something. Since its eBay (an auction) people will (should) know the guide and will go past it if its that good. Would I pay that much? No, since its already been said that there are plenty more floating around in that grade. But hey, if I had the dough and wanted it that badly, I might pull the trigger too.
.I wont lie, shinedown's version is good, but Lynyrd Skynyrd's is what Jesus, Chuck Norris, Chesty Puller, Ronald Reagan, and my Father listen to every morning when they wake up. -'bobthebanshee' on Skynard's 'Simple Man' (an all-time favorite)
