| hello all, Just thought I would ask the gurus about this because I am not an expert. My grandpa has a huge collection of Roy Rogers Volume 2 comics from #1 in 1948 all the way to #100 +. I know he has multiple copies of the Last issue and many of the #1-65 he has multiple (2-3) copies of each. I wanted to know the best way to go about selling this rare collection. He wanted someone to have it that would appreciate it but I thought selling them 1 by 1 on an auction website would give all fans a chance to get the issue they need. I am looking at the rating system on here and to put a price on them I just assumed they were all 5’s. I know that some are way higher, as they are all in cardboard backed plastic sleeves. Are these actually worth the time to list on an auction site? Is there a better place to call or a dealer I could consider selling them to? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

| If I were you, I would take all of them with multiples and pull out the one in the best condition, then list them on ebay individually, 1 thru the last issue with NO doubles. I would also SCAN the front cover of each one and put that in your listing using a photo hosting web site for FREE rather than paying ebay. It takes someone half way computer savy to do all of this, so I'm not sure if that's you? To make listing FAST and EASY, I would download turbolister from ebay's website. Just click on ebay's SITE MAP and look for "seller tools". This will allow you to make one template listing and then just keep changing the picture and the issue number and whatever else you want....rather than fill out everything over and over. Then when you list them on ebay, make sure you list them a minute or 2 apart so they don't end at the same time as many (almost all) when bidding on comics, bid during the last 20 seconds of the auction. Or, just sell the whole lot of them to Shadow, he's probably interested and then you wouldn't have to deal with all the work I mentioned above

| Four color photo pictures are awesome but very hard to find a lot of takers. I can only think of three people off hand that collect them I would try to do searchs first on both e-bay and craigslist first to see if there is a market for them right now. JJ A dealer isn't going to give you too much so try to stay with a collector.

| I got your message but it was sent "anonomously" so I could not respond. You can either message me again while you are logged in which I think is why it came anonomously, or you can message me and tell me your email address and I can respond to that. Then I can answer more of your questions. Thanks for the message.

Roy Rogers books have a very strong following... First...become intimate with the ways of grading...because that is going to make all the difference in the world. There were literally millions of some of those issues published...but they were so popular that really, really nice copies are few and far between.... Truely nice copies will bring good returns, but almost any of them will find good homes... Sell them individually for the best return and to reach the greatest amount of collectors, 'cause most Roy Rogers fans are just looking for elusive holes-to-be-filled....
