Is anyone else reading this? Damn good storytelling...The art is good, Characters are in that WTF stage, as far as working together, but its a good story all in all.. I picked up the trade, and went from there.
Image did a good job with this one, Five illegitimate children of the late Captain Dynamo, each inheriting one of his powers, pulled together by his widow to protect the residents of Tower City. Got some pretty good Villains in it too, and the prerequesite "shadow government organization"
Some stuff is par for the course, but the writing is solid, and the art is very good.
I actually read this at issue #10, it was suggested to me by my shop guy, and I was hooked.
It indeed seems to be coming along. The building of villains like Bonechill and others into a team to take on the kids, not to mention their own problems of keeping the id's secret, and the conflict with the Widow of the late Capt. Dynamo, who also happens to be their boss..its a good read..just straight up fun..

I picked up the first trade too, and read the rest of the issues from there. Very solid series.I'm enjoying it right now, but if I ever get around to cutting back on my moderns, it will probably be one of the ones to go.

| I really enjoyed the 1st trade and I'll definitely get the 2nd one. I've also been intrigued with his other book Noble Causes but never read any. Is that series just as good?

| I've read the first 4 trades so far. It's solid, but I wouldn't call it a great book. Of the two, I think Dynamo5 is the better book. The writing is pretty good, but the art can lead to the cartoony side, and doesn't have any real consitiency.

| Have to agree on the NC..I have three of the trades, not bad, but I don't think I'll be continuing. I liked the first one, but the subsequent Trades are a bit hard to follow.. D5 on the other hand is very good..I happen to like the confict that goes on it..dealing with their early stages of Hero-ship(is that a word??) and the stresses that come with it, come across very nicely..

| character development way too slow for me on D5. After 12 issues and I still can't remember (care about?) the characters names... off to ebay for me.
