Here's something I picked up recently:
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=374544&GSub=58367
It's the George Perez Who's Who No. 1 cover art featuring Aquaman, the Atom 1 and 2, Arion, Adam Strange, Able, Arcane, Atomic Knight, Amethyst, Ambush Bug, Arak, Anthro, Aqualad, Aquagirl, Auron, Atomic Skull, Abra-Kadabra, Alley-Cat-Abra and many others.
This is a really nice addition to my collection and I'd like to hear what others think of it, as well.

| Yes, it cost a lot. Up near the level of my Crisis on Infinite Earths 6 cover (that has gone on to other collectors). But, it's a very nice piece of art. I love Perez inks over Perez pencils. I like his stuff inked by Giordano (on the Who's Who covers), but I think Perez is best inked by himself. The Aquaman image is quite nice. Plus, it's got Arak and Amethyst and Ambush Bug, three of my favorite 1980s DC characters. I was always a fan of the Who's Who series. I used to read and re-read the series to memorize every fact about every character then me and my other comic collecting friends who quiz each other on first appearances, origins, powers, et cetera... Now, I've got three Who's Who covers ... there's only a few others I'd really like to have ... the one with the Flash on it, the Wonder Woman (which you have) and the Superman (yeah, I'm dreaming on those last two, I know). I think Who's Who covers are vastly underrated. Sure, they're not a cover like most want (with heroes battling villains), but they're fun and loaded with DC heroes and villains and are drawn by some of the best artists in the business (Perez, Cullins, Colon, Barreto, Byrne and a few others). I love 'em! Thanks for the kind words.

| Oh, I definitely agree. When I look at what some of the who's who covers go for, with all the characters and fun interactions on them, I feel like they're a steal vs some of the other art I've seen. And don't say never on the Wonder Woman one. Not particularly looking to sell, but I'm always open to offers (even just to store in case I need funds oneday).

You aren't the one I read about in that Playboy article, are you? Maybe that was a diff. COIE cover.

| I was in Playboy? No, seriously, I am not the person in the Playboy article. I believe that's Jon Mankuta the article is referring to. But, a few years back, I did own the cover art to Crisis on Infinite Earths 6 and I traded it to another collector who has since traded it away, too. I gave $10,000 for the piece and it was well worth it, but I got way more than that in trade for it and way more in trade for all that... I miss the Crisis piece, but it opened up so many doors for me to get other art. The Who's Who cover is a nice addition to my collection, which I've thinned out a bit lately. I want more Who's Who covers, but they're sometimes tough to afford. It just so happens that thinning out my collection helped me acquire the Who's Who. Mike B.
