On eBay, I came across a strange copy of the Sep. 1982 Wolverine #1 that I can't seem to explain. This is the original mini series that Frank Miller did.
The copy I saw had a bar code on the front cover in the bottom left hand corner as well as a differently shaped price "tag" in the top left. This differs greatly from the Spiderman head that is generally featured on the issue and the diamond shaped price tag.
I figured it might be a newer reprint, but the prices and dates listed on the issues match up. Also, comicspriceguide.com generally lists any second or newstand editions, and none were listed for this book.
Can anyone give me a clue as to what is going on? Pics of both the bar code and normal version are attached.
Thanks,
Rorschach

That's yer basic "Newstand vs direct"... We don't list every "newstand vs direct"...especially for Marvel during that period when direct was just starting out...'cause there's one of each for almost every Marvel printed... They are all similar in availability...meaning they seem to have printed just as many of each... I've got 1 of each for #1-4....

Cool, thanks! Just wanted to make sure, since that was the only one I saw available on there.
Is there a difference in value between the two?
