I'd never seen this until today, so I thought I'd post it here:
The Black Comic Book
Publication Date: 1970
Publisher: Price/Stern/Sloan
Cover Price: $1.95
Dimensions: 7-1/2" x 5-1/2"
Page Count: 80 pages
Description: "This satire of America’s best-loved comic strips is presented strictly for laughs, but with the hope that one day, in a world of greater honesty, justice and understanding, the black man will take his rightful place in literature of all kinds."

I don't have a copy, but the above information, including cover scan, was gleaned from this blog entry.

| Looks like the same publisher/printer as Mah Fellow Americans to me.

Wow, Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon did lots of kids comics (mostly at Harvey Comics). Price/Stern/Sloan is the publisher that brought us Mad Libs!
Nice find although the excerpts in the blog post are pretty disturbing.

| I should have said Ron Cobb's other book, Raw Sewage, not Mah Fellow Americans. Doing a quick search, I see a reference to a 1978 version of The Black Comic Book with a different ASIN #, so there may have been a 2nd printing of it.
