If anyone is interested in reading about Shawn Kerri, check out the current issue of Garage magazine. She did the cover to Cocaine Comix #4 and lots of work in CarToons magazine, as well as her mainstay of Punk art. She's probably in the same genre of Gary Panter, the Pizz, and Raymond Pettibon. She did a lot of fliers for the Circle Jerks, the Germs, 45 Grave and Bad Brains also. Interesting and in depth article.
Also, if you want to check out more of the centerfold, you can see her at www.NGTV.com

Shawn sooooooo influenced me, in a bad/good way, back in the early 80's.....
As a goofy punk teenager, in a "middle~class/rich" suburb of San Francisco, I tried to emulate her drawings of the "skank kid" at shows!
What can I say...I was a boat without a rudder back in 82/83.
Her Circle Jerks flyers, and album art, rank up there with Cynthia Connolys(sp?) from Dischord Records!
They are the two best female artists in "punk" history in my opinion. (and I was in the heart of it from '82 to '92)
Anyone else got a candidate?

The article more than implies that Shawn is considered the top female punk artist, so you're seem to be in agreement. But also since the early 90's, it doesn't seem like a good turn out for her life that was caused by her lifestyle and drug use (I got the feeling that this SDCC, I could pass her at a corner in San Diego and never know it, if she's still alive).

Wow such a bummer to here that her life turned out that way!
I don't know if she ever did any real "strips", but her drawings sure spoke 1000 words!
