Would it be possible to add 'ungraded' to the list of conditions? I would like
to go through and get all my comics entered into the database first, but
mark them as ungraded (or 'needs grading') so that I will know which ones
to go back and grade later when I can get to them.

You could always tell by the fact that there are so many 9.4's in your collection.

Yeah, but then you get an inflated value for the collection. Ungraded should set the value
to 0 until it is changed to an actual grade.

Just a bump to hope/beg/pray that 'ungraded' gets added as an option
with the new updates you're making. I don't care if the value of my
collection shows up as $0 until I can get them all graded. And just looking
for long streaks of 'Near Mint' isn't going to help much since I have long
streaks of comics that are in that condition.

Badfeet,

It is a good idea.  The problem is that having an 'ungraded' option would be adding yet another database field, I think.

I've always thought it would be nice if in your user profile, you can set what default grade you want.  That way you could at least default to a poor....which should stand out enough for people to know what it means.

Then, those people who want to not default everything to 9.4 could have a choice.

It wouldn't take another field though, it would only take another option on the condition field.
I would assume that each of the possible conditions is just and entry in the condition field,
and that adding 'ungraded' should be fairly simple. Especially since it would just set the
value field to zero for both the normal and the CGC fields. And, having the default condition
as a settable option in the profile would be some tasty gravy.

I'd agree that an ungraded option would be handy.  I am pretty good at entering each book in then putting them in my filing cabinets but occasionally I can get confused if I've graded a book already or not. The default 9.4 is nice and all but its not a very average grade either. I do have lots of real 9.4's so it doesn't stand out so much.

I've been thinking the same thing. I'd like to see new additions to my database set to Poor--- () rather than NM.
