Did you need that one, Arnie, or are you picking it up for resale? I don't have a copy myself, but was holding out for a higher grade, though I may never see one, given how rare it is.

I don't know if the gooddr from the midwest has it, but neither I, Bachner, Kirsch, Bonzai, Toplitz, Ginsberg, Emerson, or EBay had it either. I never saw a copy. Even my boy Stroud never offered me a copy. He was a source of some pretty strange stuff. At $20 why not. But as I said, someone else beat me to it, I think.

Neither steal, nor deal, but I thought I'd list it here being that it's another rarity that seldom comes up:

Ran across a copy of the Underhanded History of the USA reprint today for a bargain. Picked up one of the 2 copies of the Mad Peck catalog #4 you posted. Thanks again.

I got my copy of FMZ #1 in the mail from Mike Britt in l970. I can't find the thing...but John Severin did the cover...a picture of a satyr character. I don't recall what Crumb stuff was in it...but...

In '65 or '66, Crumb moved to NY to replace Terry Gilliam as assistant editor of HELP!. As soon as he got there and settled in an apartment and stuff, Help folded. He did cartoons for a mag called YELL...kind of a Mad imitation. Crumb's stuff was the best stuff in the mag. YELL only lasted a few issues, though.

Around this time, Some publisher in NYC put out a sprorts humor mag called SPORTY. Severin did most of the art in SPORTY...But a sports humor mag was a dumb idea...and Sporty only lasted one issue. It is only a vague memory...but I think the satyr character on the cover of FMZ might have been a drawing Severin did for SPORTY that was never published. And it could be that the same outfit that published YELL published SPORTY. Around the time Sporty and Yell were being published, Crumb also did regular cartoons for Woody Gelman's newsstand magazine, Nostalgia Illustrated.

There were 3 issues of Yell and I believe Crumb only had art in the last issue which was Sept. 1966.

Looks like there was at least 8 or so issues of Nostalgia that came out 1974-1975.

Zero #1 to add to the other three issues, seemed like a good price:

Only one I'm missing, but looks like someone grabbed it.  Thanks for posting...

Picked up the Pervert Comix #1 from Tony today.  Nice talking to him, comic is pretty beat up but still a nice addition.  All work appears to be by Dormouse.  No date or copyright info.  Has front covers on both sides, but interior is only one direction.  Back cover states No. 1.  .35 cover price.  I think the JK guide has the copyright wrong in the color photos section as it is credited to Dormouse, but has the other Pervert pic.
