These two raw comics are described in Fine Plus to Very Fine condition.

Current CPG values for both at 6.5 and 8.0: $56 and $140

Current OS PG values for both at 6.0 and 8.0: $45 and $106

Total snipers on these auction's last moments but both went WAY higher than I would have predicted using the CPG or OS guides.

Winning Bid: $230.50; Amazing Spider-man #169 .35 cent variant http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260395434656

Winning Bid: $300; Amazing Spider-Man #170 .35 cent variant http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=260395436046

I was watching, and hoping to bid on, these eBay auctions. I thought I could afford to upgrade the variant I just sent to CGC. If raw ASM .35 price variants are up to these prices it may be a lot more difficult for collectors to even get the mid-grade books.  Yeeeeeshshshshsh....

The 35 centers will continue to go up in value, I think.

As more people come to realize these exist, I think we will continue to see some very high prices as they trickle out into the market.

Demand will continue to be strong, and I doubt very much we will see a large influx of new finds, but there will be more.  Just not enough to offset the rarity.  Yep....they will continue to be unaffordable for many of us.

I don't own a 35 cent variant of anything, though maybe one day I will put some effort into trying to obtain some. I've always wanted a few of them.

If you haven't checked out the STL forums, they have a lot of info on the 35 cent Marvels.

I have all the FF $0.35. That actually took longer than the rest of the run for me. Found a beautiful 185 by a seller that didn't know it was the $0.35.

I understand 35 cents variant are scarce, but this:

The westerns are notoriously hard to find at all. Probably less than a handful known copies of each. Just like the $0.30 variant horror titles (which I managed to get a few of) are difficult to find as well.
