| Just read iss 1 of Mark Waids new Boom Book. Have to say right up my alley.If you like Watchmen , Miracleman,Supreme,kingdom Come or Empire ...this is for you.A good read and an ongoing as well ...happy days

I'm surprised Tex hasn't seen this thread. He is a BOOM STUDIO tart. I think he has this book on his pull list. I need to try to find the first few issues since I didn't read about it until last month and only use an online service. It does look to be interesting since checking out their write up on their site.

OH YEAH!!!!! This book rocks!! This book is waaaay interesting. The Plutonian is like a Super-Man/Lex Luthor hybrid that is hellbent on taking out the good guys (his former allies). He's devious, powerful, and ruthless (he killed kids man...kids!!). Great read. I am sooooo hooked! Thanks for sending me this thread hr!! U DA MAN!!! TEX

| First issue was great, can;t wait for the second. I'm hoping it gives a little more backstory. I don't mind when a story starts off all action, but it help to know a LITTLE bit about what's going on,lol.

| I just read Irredeemable #2, And baby, it's GOOD!! This ain't Marvel or DC, I'll tellya that. I don't wanna spoil it for those who haven't read it, but a lot of things are happening unexpectedly. We're finding out stuff about the bad guy that really makes you like and/or sympathize with him. I ain't used to that. The usual formula is: there's a bad guy, there's a good guy, so good guy has to find a way to beat up the bad guy. In this book the bad guy is handing the good guys' as$es to them...but get his this...there's a real reason why. In this issue, we meet the Plutonian's Lois Lane, Alana Patel. But she ain't no Lois Lane brother; she does the unthinkable. I'll just leave it there. We find out the backstory on her relationship with the Plutonian and how it went south. We also get a glimpse of how he began to head in the bad guy direction. I seriously think that maybe he lost faith in "good" and the goodness of people, and I think that this may have been the beginning. That's all you get. You gotta read this comic. TEX
