The 2 United Features Sparkler volumes... 1 Fawcett Nyoka volume... 1 Dell March of Comics volume... 2 privately-bound Marvel Conan volumes (signed by Roy Thomas & John Buscema) 2 privately-bound (my own) volumes of Kirby Fourth World issues... So far...

Way to go Shadow. How does binding effect overall value? I have seen bound volumes for sale recently here and there and was just wondering. Rule of thumb is: book is worth the combined value of the books at Good-Very Good prices...based primarily on the facts that the books cannot be removed, and professional binding almost always includes trimming the books to a uniform size... This is not a very valid rule of thumb......they almost always go for more, mostly due to the fact that they are a "one-of-a-kind" item...people who own them ususally don't "have" to get rid of them...and people who want them usually pay whatever they have to... Sometimes they are well read/used...occasionally (like the Nyoka I recently acquired) they look NM-M... I've paid anywhere from just under $100...to over $400 a volume and recently lost out on some because I wouldn't go over $500 at the time... they are so unique...there is no set market value...

| New additon to my United Features collection... 3 volumes of Fritzi Ritzi (By Ernie Bushmiller of Nancy fame)...includes Fritzi Ritzi and United Comics (title change)...Also happens to include what is believed to be the very first appearance of Charles Schultz's Peanuts in comicbook form...
