when did the thing in his chest go from a circle to more of a triangle in shape?   was this recently or like 15 years ago and i just never noticed?

and also how much freedom does an  artist have to change around an established character like that?  or is iron man the exception cause its hard to draw the exact same armor over and over or because stark is constantly changing his designs?

I think it was when he switched to the red and white armor but I am not all that sure.

Ask IronManiac, he's da man!

Where does he get those wonderful toys!

I have yet begun to surrender.

I think nowadays its easier to change a characters appearance.  Back in the good 'ole days I think they had a bit more respect for the characters/fans.

--------------------------------------------

“I don’t do this for the Commander in Chief.  I do this for my country, and I will continue to do so.”

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.
