Unless you are a fan of Grant Morrison, I would not recommend the 'Batman' over the last 2 years since he took the book over...not my cup of tea, but others love the guy.

I would recommend:

Justice Society of America - I am biased, but my favorite characters and the story is always well written

Batman and the Outsiders - so far, pretty darn good, but still early

Detective Comics - the best 'Batman' stories being written right now

Of course, I would have to recommend FABLES as the best DC book going right now, but not a superhero title.

I'll second that. For the last while Detective has been the best Batman series out there. In addition to that, the current Green Lantern series is a must have. No question about it.

I'll agree, the Green Lantern titles are the best, so far. With the upcoming "Final Crisis, " though, DC's starting the "R.I.P." arc for Batman. I'd like to see where that leads.

Read the Sinestro Corps war and I give it an B+. I'm looking forward to the sequel Blackest Night.

I was able to read Batman "The Killing Joke" and I really liked this story and art, I like the gritty dark feel of Batman. A+

This isn't the Batman from the TV show. I'm going t have to pick up some more.
