gooddr (7/24/2009) While it is not selling. someone is asking $10k for a 9.6 zap0. But is only asking $9k for a 8-9 Zap 1.
Both are well over guide, but the Plymell is a better deal. The 9.6 Zap #0 must be one of the census top copies & like you said, he ain't getting that for the book.
Do you think high grade books will start fetching big premiums again (ala 2004)... is the market poised to grow there? Or was it just word of mouth, like 'can you believe what so & so is asking?'

If you think the zap 0 was too much, I would hate to tell you what he got for a Spidey 55 in 9.6. You would choke. PM for the value. By the way, the worst thing for me at the show was that my friend found an unknown Corben fanzine from the 60s or early 70s. I didn't' get it, probably passing over it at Stround's booth for years. I would tell the title but then everyone else would try to get it and I would miss out again.

Such a bummer I didn't see Justin! He's cool!
I also picked up a box full of some groovy stuff....More Zap #1 3rds, some beautiful Big A88 #2 3rds, a couple of Motor City #1 2nds, Trashman tabloids, National Weed tabloids, and lots more.

| Sounds like everyone had a good time once again. Wish I could have been there. Maybe next year. Congrats to everyone for their sales and finds.

Reverend (7/25/2009)
There were at least three Pirate Parrot publications containing Bodé's work
The Essential Bodé
Interview
I can't recall the third.
I have both of these and almost sold the first one on eBay (built the auction description in Auctiva) earlier this year, but I couldn't go through with it. The first one is really cool.
Hey everyone, sorry to be gone so long between posts, but my job and my domestic life are running me ragged. Someday I hope to get my sh!t together. Congrats to everyone who made it to the show and had a good time either buying or selling.

| Now that I think of it, I think there may have been four Bodé comics from Pirate Parrot. I think bookchuck auctioned off a set a few months back. Maybe he still has the pic.
