This is a series that spot the top of my want list.

Unfortunally even the TPB and HC are extremely expensive

I think part of the reason why the Trades of MM are so expensive is that at one point near the end of their existence, Eclipse Comics had a major flood where they stored their inventory and most if not all that was left of the stock of the collected MM was wiped out. I bought all the comic books as they came out, and because I happened to be away from my collection for a few years, I bought the hardcovers as they were released because I knew it was a series I wanted to read again and wasn't in the mood to track down the run of comics again (though, I did try, which is why I have dupes of some of the issues). In hindsight I'm very glad that I bought the hardcovers, as they have turned out to be some of the scarcest books related to comics out there, and they are minty fresh and sitting on the shelf next to my signed/numbered From Hell HC's (Both the huge phone book sized collection of the comic, and the volume of the scripts that was S/N by Moore, Campbell and Steve Bissette), the Graffitti Watchmen, and all the other Alan Moore titles except for that damn Maxwell The Magic Cat Vol.4 which has remained elusive and is the subject of a post of mine in the "books wanted" section of this forum, if you happen to own a spare....

Crowman showed my wife that cover for miracleman 24 and she thought the price you paid was cheap.

she doesnt know much about comic pricing but for all the talk and rarity about Miracleman she thought it would be far more.

I really have only seen that issue once ,back in 94 when it came out and was offered to me directly by the owner of a comicbook shop and he owned 3 comicbook shops at the time in the middle of the speculator boom and he had only ordered 1 issue for all his 3 shops

I think you did okay on the issues you've gotten. I look at the guide sometimes and have to gasp a little. I was lucky to get these books near when they came out, including the trades. I have them hermetically sealed and tucked away safe and sound. I'm such a Neil Gaiman AND Alan Moore junky.

When MiracleMan came out, there was already controversy over the birth scene in issue 9. Of course, I gravitated right towards it. I even have a couple of signed issues.

You have some very fine treasures there. Just make sure you read them too.
